Bibliographic information provider Bowker, US, has announced the appointment of Chuck Lamantia as Canadian account manager for the company's supply chain group. He will report to David Campbell, senior account manager for Bowker's supply chain business unit.
In his new role, Lamantia will be responsible for managing Bowker's Pubnet and PubEasy businesses in the Canadian market, managing the company's relationships with publishers, retailers, technology vendors and industry organisations. He will also oversee efforts to accelerate the adoption of EDI trading on Pubnet by higher education campus stores throughout Canada.
In addition, he will work closely with BookNet Canada, the Canadian agency dedicated to innovation in the book industry supply chain. Last summer, BookNet Canada signed a five-year extension of its agreement that designates Pubnet as the exclusive Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) vendor for the Canadian book publishing industry.
Lamantia is a veteran of the publishing industry in Canada. He brings to the company more than 20 years of sales, marketing and product development experience in the Canadian publishing industry.
