Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced that Brandeis University has selected the Primo discovery and delivery solution and the Alma library management service. Having used the Ex Libris Aleph integrated library service for many years, the University decided to migrate its library systems to the Ex Libris cloud environment and take advantage of the two solutions' tight integration and unified framework for the management and discovery of all resource types and collections.
According to Mark Triest, president of Ex Libris North America, academic and research libraries are increasingly moving all their Ex Libris solutions to the Ex Libris cloud. This trend demonstrates libraries' desire to participate in a collaborative, networked space that also delivers tangible benefits, such as lower costs, higher productivity, and an enhanced discovery experience.
Dedicated to developing creative solutions in close collaboration with customers, Ex Libris enables libraries to maximize productivity and efficiency and, at the same time, greatly enhance the user experience. By empowering users to discover and obtain the information they need, libraries ensure their position as the bridge to knowledge.
