International scholarly publisher Brill has announced the addition of the Journal of African Archaeology to its growing portfolio in African Studies.
Founded by Africa Magna Publishers (Frankfurt/Main, Germany) in 2003, the international peer-reviewed periodical provides scholars with a new pan-African forum for discussing relevant topics on the cultural dynamics of past African societies. The Journal is supplemented by the Journal of African Archaeology Monograph Series, which also transfers to Brill.
The Journal of African Archaeology will continue under the editorial direction of Sonja Magnavita and Peter Breunig (Goethe University, Frankfurt/Main, Germany). Volume 15 will be published by Brill in 2017 and, together with the back volumes, will be made available through Brill’s Books and Journals platform.
