CAB Direct reaches the nine-million mark -

Life sciences publisher Centre for Agricultural Bioscience International (CABI), UK, has announced that its database platform, CAB Direct, has published its nine-millionth abstract. CAB Direct includes CAB Abstracts, a leading database covering applied life sciences.

‘Effect of different herbicides on control of purple nutsedge (Cyperus rotundus L.)’ by Aptin Rahnavard, Zoheir Y. Ashrafi, A. Rahbari and S. Sadeghi, covering the chemical control of purple nutsedge – billed as ‘the world’s worst weed’ – is one of the full-text titles accessible by subscribers. To celebrate its status as the nine-millionth addition to CAB Direct, it has been made freely available to all readers worldwide.

CAB Abstracts on CAB Direct gives researchers instant access to records from 1973 onwards, with over 300,000 abstracts added each year. Its coverage of the applied life sciences includes agriculture, environment, veterinary sciences, applied economics, food science and nutrition. CAB Abstracts includes material from all relevant publications, including non-English journals and those published by independent and learned publishers.

CAB Direct also incorporates the Global Health database and abstracts journals, making it the most thorough and extensive resource for the applied life sciences.
