The Canadian Journal of Animal Science (CJAS) has appointed Dr. Tofuko Woyengo as its new Co-Editor-in-Chief. He will serve alongside current Co-Editor-in-Chief Dr. Tim McAllister in guiding the journal's editorial direction and supporting the publication of animal science research.

Dr. Woyengo is an Associate Professor at Aarhus University, a position he has held since 2020. Before joining Aarhus University, he served as an Assistant Professor at South Dakota State University from 2015 to 2020. He earned a PhD in Animal Science from the University of Manitoba in 2011 and later completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Alberta.

His research focuses on animal nutrition, including feed additives, feed processing technologies, nutrient utilization in pigs and poultry, gut health, digestive physiology, and the evaluation of feed ingredients.

According to the journal, Dr. Woyengo's expertise in animal nutrition, feed science, and monogastric production will support CJAS's ongoing efforts to publish research that advances animal science in Canada and internationally.

The appointment expands the journal's editorial leadership as it continues to develop its publishing program and serve the global animal science research community.
