Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology names Dr. Lorrie A. Kirshenbaum as new Co-Editor-in-Chief -

Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology (CJPP) and its publisher, Canadian Science Publishing (CSP), have announced the appointment of Dr. Lorrie Kirshenbaum as the journal’s new Co-Editor-in-Chief. Dr. Kirshenbaum will be joined by former Editors and now Consulting Editors Drs. Ghassan Bkaily and Pedro D'Orleans-Juste.

Dr. Lorrie A. Kirshenbaum is Director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences (ICS) at the St. Boniface Hospital Albrechtsen Research Centre, Canada Research Chair in Molecular Cardiology, Professor and Division Head of Cardiovascular Science and Disease, Department of Physiology and Pathophysiology, Mas Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada.

Dr. Kirshenbaum is noted as a distinguished thought leader at the Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. As Director of the ICS and a Fellow of the International Society for Heart Research and the American Heart Association, his laboratory is setting the stage for the use of gene therapy in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.

Dr. Kirshenbaum’s vision and strategic approach to journal development will be valuable for CJPP’s continued growth. His years of experience, expertise, and dedication to the advancement of science exemplifies this vision. He will work alongside the board and consulting editors to continue to drive CJPP to success.
