Canadian Science Publishing has appointed Dr. Philip Loring as Co‑Editor‑in‑Chief of FACETS. He will join Dr. Fanie Pelletier and Dr. Claire Jardine in leading the multidisciplinary open access science journal.
Dr. Loring serves as Global Director of Human Dimensions Science at The Nature Conservancy, where work focuses on food systems, sustainability, social justice, and the integration of social and cultural dimensions into environmental research and practice. Responsibilities include supporting science initiatives that elevate local perspectives in the development and implementation of solutions.
FACETS is recognized as Canada’s first multidisciplinary open access science journal and is focused on advancing and disseminating scientific knowledge. Dr. Loring’s background in the social sciences is expected to support the journal’s expansion into broader interdisciplinary research areas while strengthening overall scope and impact.
