Canadian Science Publishing (CSP) has announced that FACETS, Canada’s first and only multidisciplinary open access science journal, has now fully launched. FACETS has been developed on a state-of-the-art online publishing platform and the launch includes two peer-reviewed articles with many more slated to be published in the coming weeks.
FACETS launches with a broad scope that encompasses six major research fields and over 30 subjects. Additional subject areas will be added as the journal evolves in conjunction with emerging scientific advances. As a multidisciplinary journal, FACETS publishes at the interface of the traditional fields of inquiry, facilitating scholarly communication and enhancing knowledge transfer. The Integrative Sciences section, for instance, was developed to meet the unique challenges of researchers publishing in fields that link the sciences and social sciences, and will include
topics of particular interest to a wide Canadian and international audience such as science and policy, science and society, conservation and sustainability, and public health.
