Cardiff Metropolitan University has announced the launch of its new institutional digital repository, powered by Figshare. Work produced by researchers and research students at the university can be found at figshare.cardiffmet.ac.uk. In addition to being on Cardiff Met’s institutional domain, their repository is fully customised with the university’s branding and logos.
The new repository enables the uploading of any type of research object or file with over 1,200 file types visualised in the browser, increasing exposure and engagement. Published work will also receive a persistent DOI - Digital Object Identifier - and users will be able to track views, downloads, citations, and Altmetrics to aid in measuring impact.
