CAS launches CAS Intelligence Hub for AI-ready scientific data management -

CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society specializing in scientific knowledge management, has launched CAS Intelligence Hub, a secure, cloud-based platform designed to transform fragmented scientific data into harmonized, AI-ready knowledge assets. The platform applies the same harmonization and structuring practices used for the CAS Content Collection™ to customer data, combining CAS curation expertise with secure infrastructure.

CAS Intelligence Hub addresses challenges that affect digital transformation and AI adoption across pharmaceutical and chemical R&D organizations. Scientific data is often fragmented across electronic lab notebooks, laboratory information management systems, instruments, data storage systems, and legacy archives. Insufficient data scope and lack of harmonization limit AI accuracy and scalability. The platform combines authoritative scientific content, expert-led data services, and secure infrastructure to reduce these challenges.

The platform is designed to address barriers to AI readiness, including fragmented technology stacks, lack of standardized ontologies, legacy data in outdated formats, and limited integration of external data. These issues can prevent effective data integration, reuse, and AI training.

CAS Intelligence Hub ingests, harmonizes, enriches, and serves scientific data at scale. Customer-specific workspaces support encrypted data ingestion and controlled API delivery for compliance and intellectual property protection. The platform integrates with existing systems without requiring infrastructure replacement and connects proprietary R&D data with authoritative CAS content.

Continuous ingestion and structuring of proprietary and external data using CAS ontologies creates harmonized datasets enriched with CAS Registry® and the CAS Content Collection™. These datasets are intended to support AI training and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines using validated reference content.

CAS Intelligence Hub also provides secure infrastructure for expert-led data services that apply CAS curation practices directly to customer data. Through this approach, organizations can access:

● Secure content management

● Data structuring, standardization, and harmonization

● Data governance capabilities

● Integration of proprietary data with authoritative CAS content

● Secure information exchange

● API access to AI-ready CAS content

The platform is available to organizations seeking to manage and harmonize scientific data.
