Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), a division of the American Chemical Society, has announced that it will be on-site at the 241st ACS National Meeting and Exposition to provide previews of two enhancements to its SciFinder research platform - SciFinder Mobile and SciPlanner.
SciFinder Mobile, scheduled for launch on April 4, 2011, claims to be the industry's first mobile interface to provide anytime access to information on chemical substances, reactions, research and patent literature, and research alerts.
SciPlanner will be introduced in SciFinder on April 18, 2011. SciPlanner is an industry-leading interactive workspace that enables synthetic chemists to plan their work and organise search results, saving time and effort before heading into the lab.
SciFinder provides chemists and other researchers with access to millions of peer-reviewed research articles, patents, dissertations, and other research literature, as well as the most comprehensive, timely information on chemical substances, reactions, properties, and experimental procedures. SciFinder Mobile and SciPlanner are expected to further advance SciFinder's position as the industry's premier tool for scientific research. Also, these new enhancements will help SciFinder users work faster, efficiently, and more effectively from anywhere in the world, saving time and money during the R&D process.
Christine McCue, Vice President of Marketing for CAS, will discuss how CAS' expertly indexed databases give researchers confidence in the quality of their work and how SciFinder brings speed and accuracy to research at Booth #638, Anaheim Convention Center, on March 28 and March 29.
