CCC named to KMWorld’s AI 100 for intelligent knowledge management -

Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) has been named to the 2025 KMWorld AI 100 list, which honors companies advancing intelligent knowledge management through AI integration.

KMWorld AI 100 list recognizes solution providers that use AI technologies to address persistent challenges in enterprise knowledge management, supporting more efficient information access and organizational productivity. CCC was cited for its innovations in licensing solutions and its role as a trusted intermediary within creative and data ecosystems.

Earlier in 2025, CCC received an Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award for its Annual Copyright License (ACL), a solution that enables enterprise-wide rights licensing, including internal uses of copyrighted material within AI systems. The ACL harmonizes internal AI use rights across a broad spectrum of rightsholders, offering organizations a streamlined way to manage compliance.

CCC’s broader efforts include advocacy on global copyright issues and maintenance of its AI, Copyright & Licensing hub, which provides resources for a wide range of stakeholders including publishers, technologists, rightsholders, media representatives, policymakers, and legal experts. The organization also offers voluntary collective licensing products tailored to business, education, and assessment environments.

Since 1978, CCC has supported knowledge sharing by delivering scalable licensing services, including content permissions, full-text access, and copyright education, helping organizations manage and deploy information legally and efficiently.
