CCC welcomes Catie Sheret, General Counsel for Cambridge University Press & Assessment, to Board of Directors -

CCC, a global leader in copyright advocacy, knowledge acceleration, and innovation, has announced the election of Catie Sheret, General Counsel for Cambridge University Press & Assessment, to its esteemed Board of Directors.

In her role at Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Sheret leads a global team overseeing legal, business ethics, compliance, brand, community engagement, and sustainability efforts. A member of the company’s executive board of directors, she is also deeply involved in climate action and sustainability initiatives, serving on the Law Society for England and Wales’ Climate Change Working Group and acting as an ambassador for General Counsel Sustainability Leaders. Sheret supports The Chancery Lane Project, a collaborative legal initiative aimed at reducing carbon emissions through innovative legal frameworks.

Before her current role, Sheret served as Chief Privacy Officer and Associate General Counsel at Pearson and gained experience at Charles Russell LLP, Linklaters, and the European Commission.

CCC has been at the forefront of copyright education and licensing solutions since 1978. The organization provides a range of services, including collective licensing solutions such as ACL for Business and ACL for Higher Education, as well as resources like the AI, Copyright & Licensing hub, designed to support creators, publishers, technologists, policymakers, and intellectual property professionals.
