In a tribute to its 25-year legacy in the realm of digital health research, JMIR Publications proudly announces a call for papers for a theme issue titled "25 Years of Digital Health Excellence: Reflecting on Transformative Technologies, Interventions, Methods, and Policy Issues." This special issue invites authors to contribute their insights and reflections on the evolution and impact of digital health over the past quarter-century.
JMIR Publications, a trailblazing open-access publisher dedicated to digital health research, invites original contributions in the form of review articles and viewpoint papers. The theme issue aims to explore various aspects of digital health, including pioneering technologies, interventions, methods, and policy issues.
Authors are encouraged to submit contributions exploring a wide range of topics. In addition to the open call for papers, JMIR Publications invites editors-in-chief from its portfolio and other leading scientists to submit invited commentaries and reviews.
Authors are kindly requested to submit their article title proposals along with an abstract using the provided form. While the primary target for submission is the Journal of Medical Internet Research, authors should be aware that their contributions may also be considered for publication in other journals within the JMIR Publications family. Upon submission, an editor will respond within 1-2 weeks, either inviting the submission or providing feedback on the proposed article title and approach.
All manuscripts submitted must strictly adhere to the submission guidelines established by the Journal of Medical Internet Research. Authors are further instructed to clearly label their submissions as intended for the "25th Anniversary Theme Issue" in the cover letter accompanying their manuscripts. The deadline for manuscript submissions is March 31, 2024, and authors are required to utilize the online submission system for the submission process.
The anticipated publication date for impactful reviews and viewpoints is targeted for the conclusion of 2024.
