Cell Stem Cell named 'Best New Journal' of 2007 -

The Professional and Scholarly Publishing Division (PSP) of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) has named Cell Stem Cell, a Cell Press journal, as the 2007 Best New Journal - Science, Technology & Medicine. The journal was awarded this distinction today during the Association of American Publishers' PSP Annual Conference in Washington, DC.

This honor, which is among the Association of American Publishers' 2007 Awards for Excellence, comes less than a year after the journal published its first issue in July 2007.

Cell Stem Cell is the official affiliated journal of the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR). The journal covers the entire range of the burgeoning stem cell field, from basic cellular mechanisms to therapeutic applications. In addition to high-quality, original research articles, each issue contains a broad range of review and discussion material, including scientific reviews, social and research commentaries, profiles of prominent people and institutions, and reviews of external meetings and resources.
