Print and digital information services provider Cengage Learning, US, has announced the appointment of William D. Rieders as executive vice president of Cengage Learning. He will report directly to Ronald Dunn, CEO and president of Cengage Learning.
As a member of the Cengage Learning Executive Committee, Rieders will initially focus efforts on growth strategies and the integration of the recently acquired Houghton Mifflin College Division into the existing Cengage Learning operations. He was most recently a partner of The Parthenon Group, a leading global strategy consulting firm. While at Parthenon, Rieders was an advisor to Thomson Learning (now Cengage Learning) and played a significant role in improving the overall growth and profitability of the business. In addition, he has been instrumental in transforming a variety of information businesses, including healthcare, scientific, intellectual property, legal, and tax.
