Center for Research Libraries names Gregory Eow as President -

Center for Research Libraries (CRL) has announced that Gregory Eow, currently Associate Director for Collections, MIT Libraries, will succeed Bernard Reilly as its president, effective August 12, 2019. Greg Eow brings deep knowledge of research libraries and collections and many ideas about ways CRL can evolve in the coming years to maintain its centrality as a key part of the research library landscape.

Over the past two decades, Eow has worked as an archivist, librarian, historian, and library administrator at Harvard, Yale, Rice, and the DeKalb History Center.

The search for the new president began in 2018 and was led by a Board-appointed search committee, whose members were Carolyn Allen (University of Arkansas), Gwen Bird (Simon Fraser University), John Culshaw (University of Iowa), Terri Fishel (Macalester College), Ksenya Kiebuzinski (University of Toronto), Greg Raschke (North Carolina State), Ann Thornton (Columbia), Xuemao Wang (University of Cincinnati), and Patricia Xia (CRL) with Virginia Steel as chair.
