CHEST Critical Care and CHEST Pulmonary gain indexation with DOAJ -

The American College of Chest Physicians® (CHEST) has announced that two of its latest journals, CHEST® Critical Care and CHEST® Pulmonary, have been approved for indexation by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This significant milestone is set to enhance the visibility and impact of these journals, which focus on pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Launched in early 2023, CHEST Critical Care and CHEST Pulmonary are dedicated to providing open access to high-quality research and case series in their respective fields. The inclusion in DOAJ will facilitate greater accessibility and usage of the content, promoting wider dissemination and engagement within the global medical community.

Both journals emphasize a wide range of topics crucial to contemporary medical practice, including medical decision-making, implementation science, health services delivery, quality improvement, cost-effectiveness analysis, and policy reports. This broad scope ensures that the journals not only publish cutting-edge research but also address practical aspects of healthcare that can directly benefit patient outcomes.

Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to submit their original research and case series to these journals. The open access model ensures that their work will be freely available to readers worldwide, maximizing its potential impact.

The approval for indexation by DOAJ underscores the American College of Chest Physicians' dedication to providing high-quality, accessible medical research and supporting the continued growth and development of the fields of pulmonary and critical care medicine.
