Medical publisher CIG Media Group, US, has announced the appointment of Steve Close as the Senior Manager, Advertising Sales, for its portfolio of tumor-specific, clinical oncology journals.
Close joins CIG with more than 15 years of sales experience in the medical space, including five years in oncology. Most recently Close worked at Elsevier as a National Account Manager where he was responsible for ad sales for a collection of print and online publications from the American Association of Thoracic Surgery, The Society for Vascular Surgery, The American College of Surgeons, and the American Medical Directors Association.
Founded in 1996, CIG Media publishes peer-reviewed, tumour-specific medical oncology journals, all of which are indexed in PubMed. Each year, the company also publishes multiple tumour-specific journal supplements that provide oncology professionals with opportunities to earn American Medical Association-accredited continuing medical education credits.
