Clarivate Analytics appoints industry experts to rapidly accelerate company performance -

Clarivate Analytics, formerly the IP & Science business of Thomson Reuters, has announced the appointments of Richard Hanks as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Robert Lemmond as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Daniel Videtto as President of the Patents and Standards division. As a newly independent, global company with industry-leading products and services, Clarivate Analytics accelerates the pace of innovation for customers by providing trusted insights and analytics.

Industry trends are pointing toward a focus on integrating access to content through workflow applications, as well as delivering cutting-edge data analytics. With plans to introduce new analytics products this year, Clarivate can accelerate its growth plans with the help of this new influx of talent.

As CFO, Hanks will manage the global financial organisation and lead the development and execution of the company's fiscal strategies. Hanks joined Clarivate with extensive financial and operating experience in the US, Europe and Asia. Over the prior four years, he was CFO at BDP International. Previously, he held executive finance and business leadership roles at Infogroup, Dow Jones, Factiva and GSK.

Lemmond will oversee all commercial aspects of the organisation, including global sales, marketing, professional services and customer care. Lemmond comes to Clarivate from Mediant Communications, an investor communications, technology-enabled business, where he was President. Prior to that he was CEO & President of Law & Business, a legal and regulatory division of Wolters Kluwer, that provided digital solutions to attorneys, information professionals and law students around the world. Earlier, he led commercial organizations at IHS/Global Insight and Primark, while beginning his career in sales at the General Electric Company.

As President of the Patents and Standards division, Videtto will focus on growing the company's position in the patent and regulatory standards information and analytics market. Videtto has spent his career growing businesses in the intellectual property and financial information industries, and most recently did this in Asia for Interactive Data as the Managing Director and President of Asia Pacific. Formerly, he was President and CEO of MicroPatent and held several executive level roles with Thomson Financial.
