Clarivate has announced the appointment of Michael Easton as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective August 8, 2026. He succeeds Jonathan Collins, who is stepping down to pursue another opportunity.
Easton has more than 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, and operations. He most recently served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, overseeing Clarivate’s financial reporting and planning functions. In that role, he contributed to strengthening financial discipline, enhancing governance and controls, and improving operational efficiency. As CFO, he will focus on advancing the company’s strategic priorities, including growth acceleration, profitability improvement, cash flow generation, and disciplined capital allocation.
Clarivate’s Chief Executive Officer, Matti Shem Tov, noted that Easton’s financial expertise, strategic insight, and institutional knowledge would support the company’s momentum and growth strategy. He emphasized that the appointment reflects the strength of Clarivate’s leadership team and its approach to succession planning.
Shem Tov also acknowledged Collins’s contributions during a period of transformation, noting his role in strengthening financial management and executing strategic initiatives, including the planned divestiture of the Life Sciences & Healthcare segment.
In a separate announcement, Clarivate reported its financial results for the second quarter of 2026. The company scheduled a conference call and webcast at 9:30 AM Eastern Time to review the results. The webcast is open to the public and may include forward‑looking information.
