Clarivate publishes 2025 Sustainability Report -

Clarivate Plc has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining progress toward its environmental and social responsibility goals. The report notes a 24% reduction in total reported greenhouse gas emissions compared to the previous year.

The company works with more than 45,000 organizations worldwide, including universities, research institutions, corporations, law firms, government agencies, and healthcare companies. Over the past year, Clarivate strengthened its systems for measuring and managing emissions against its 2023 baseline.

Chief Executive Officer Matti Shem Tov stated that the report demonstrates how Clarivate is embedding responsible business practices across its operations and contributing to progress in the communities it serves.

Key Findings from the 2025 Report:

• Greenhouse gas emissions: Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions declined by 24%, from 96,666 tCO₂e in 2024 to 73,110 tCO₂e in 2025.

• Sustainability-certified workplaces: Approximately 38% of the company’s total square footage is now certified.

• ProQuest One Sustainability: Adopted by more than 400 institutions and recognized as a Library Journal Best Reference Database for 2025.

• Community engagement: Employees contributed over 36,000 hours to community initiatives through volunteer time off.

• Global partnerships: Collaborated with Teva to support antimicrobial stewardship programs in Germany and Kenya, promoting responsible antibiotic use through data-driven interventions.

Clarivate indicated that its sustainability strategy will continue to evolve, guided by materiality assessments and a focus on climate change, workforce impact, responsible business conduct, and transparency across its value chain.
