Cloud Connect, an event produced by UBM Tech, has announced the expanded lineup of keynote speakers, including Ann Winblad of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and Margaret Dawson of HP Cloud Services. In addition, DEPLOYCON, presented by Rishidot Research LLC, is a new one-day conference presented in conjunction with Cloud Connect covering the expanding theme of platform as a service (PaaS).
Cloud Connect is the premier technology event for cloud computing, featuring the latest technologies, platforms, strategies, and innovations in the cloud. The event will take place from April 2-5, 2013, at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, CA.
In addition to the previously announced lineup from CloudOps Research, Cisco, General Electric, PayPal, Telx and Warner Music Group, recently confirmed keynote speakers who will also take the main stage include Margaret Dawson, Vice President of Product Marketing and Cloud Evangelist, HP Cloud Services; Jim Davies, CTO, Mitel; Lisa Larson, VP of Enterprise Cloud Solutions, Rackspace; Rich Murr, VP of IT Operations, Rackspace; Nathan Day, Chief Scientist, SoftLayer; and Kit Colbert, Chief Architect and Principal Engineer, VMWare.
The keynote stage will also feature a panel discussion on the hot topic of open source cloud computing titled 'Are Clouds the Gateway Drug to a Quantified Society?' This panel will be moderated by Ann Winblad, Co-founder and Managing Director of Hummer Winblad Venture Partners and panel participants include Citrix, CloudOps and Red Hat.
A new addition to the program, DEPLOYCON 2013, produced by Rishidot Research LLC, scheduled for April 2, will bring together CIOs, enterprise managers, IT and developers to discuss how organisations can better leverage Platform Services to enable IT transformation to agile IT.
