Information and point-of-care solutions provider Wolters Kluwer Health, US, has announced that users of its clinical decision support (CDS) system, UpToDate, can now earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) certificates accredited by the Colegio de Medicina Interna de México A.C. (CMIM) when consulting UpToDate to answer clinical questions. CMIM recognises UpToDate as a provider of continuing medical education on the premise that UpToDate's clinical content provides clinicians with important updates and knowledge to help them provide the best care for their patients.
Studies have shown that consulting clinical information in UpToDate helps clinicians keep up with changes in their specialty and recommended treatments.
The Colegio de Medicina Interna de México was founded nearly forty years ago and is recognised as one of the most prominent professional medical organisations in Latin America. This is the second continuing education accreditation for UpToDate in the region. UpToDate is also recognised and accredited by the Federación Mexicana de Colegios de Obstetricia y Ginecología (FEMECOG).
UpToDate partners with numerous organisations, including colleges, associations, and authorities from around the world to help clinicians meet their continuing education goals.
