Cochrane has launched a new interactive learning module designed to guide researchers and health decision makers in producing rapid reviews, an increasingly vital method for delivering timely health evidence.
The module, which takes 90–120 minutes to complete, introduces learners to the principles and practical considerations of conducting rapid reviews. Topics include differences from systematic reviews, streamlined search and analysis strategies, and methods for involving decision-makers in the review process.
Developed by the Cochrane Rapid Review Methods Group, the self-directed module includes step-by-step guidance, expert insights, and an overview of tools that support rapid evidence synthesis.
The resource has received positive early feedback from health researchers and evidence synthesis professionals, who praised its clarity and applicability.
The module is part of Cochrane’s broader effort to expand evidence-based decision-making skills, especially in fast-moving public health contexts where rapid reviews are needed to inform urgent decisions.
Learners can access the module through Cochrane Interactive Learning as Module 13.
