Knowledge management and discovery software developer Collexis Holdings, Inc., US, has announced that the company's executive vice president and chief marketing officer, Darrell W. Gunter, has been elected to the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) Content Division Board. Gunter is one of twelve executives representing Content Division member companies that have been elected to two-year terms.
The SIIA Content Division Board consists of representatives from member companies who are selected by the membership. Board members prioritise Content Division initiatives for the year and determine the projects, activities and events to be undertaken. These members will join eleven board members who will be serving the second year of their two-year terms. This will be Gunter's second term on the Content board, and as a member his duties will include prioritising Content Division initiatives, determining projects, activities and events to be undertaken.
The Content Division of the Software & Information Industry (SIIA) provides a forum for companies that are in the business of publishing and distributing online content, or offer technologies and services that facilitate the distribution of information products. With the leadership of the Content Board, the division works to develop effective approaches to emerging issues and to produce deliverables of special interest to members of the division.
