Non-profit copyright licensing solutions provider Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), US, has announced its OnCopyright Education Certificate Program, which consists of industry-specific courses that target a variety of user communities and the challenges they face in managing copyright.
The programme comprises a series of instructor-led eLearning courses incorporating group discussions, question and answer sessions and analyses of real-world scenarios, including group and individual activities. Participants will learn the principles of copyright, how to evaluate potential exceptions and limitations to copyright protection, determine when copyright permission may be needed and content sharing and its implications. Cost for each session varies.

Founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit organisation, the company provides smart solutions that simplify the licensing of content that lets businesses and academic institutions quickly get permission to use copyright-protected materials, while compensating publishers and content creators for the use of their works.
