Scientific and technical publisher CRC Press, US, part of the Taylor & Francis Group, has announced that its CRCnetBASE eBook platform is the recipient of the 'Outstanding Academic Resource (OAR)' award from CHOICE. OAR winners are chosen for their excellence in scholarship and presentation and the significance of their contribution to the field.
CRCnetBASE offers subscription and purchase access to over 7,000 scientific and technical eBooks spanning 40 disciplines. Featuring 37 tightly focused Signature netBASE collections and 5 Premium netBASE collections (which feature multiple Signature netBASEs), the collections are built to drive and complement today's research. The platform allows users to create personalised accounts where they can save queries, place favourite content onto a virtual bookshelf, purchase individual chapters or eBooks, and recommend content to friends.
Institutional account management tools are integrated within the platform. Registered library administrators can view their IP ranges, add additional administrators, download COUNTER usage reports, and personalise their institutions site directly from their user account. In addition to e-books published under the imprint of CRC Press, CRCnetBASE also includes online references from Auerbach, Routledge, Informa Healthcare, and Chapman & Hall.
