The Center for Research Libraries (CRL) is inviting proposals for the 2015 Purchase Proposal Program.
Many major microform sets and multi-volume print publications are too costly for individual institutions to acquire, and are not readily available through interlibrary loan. Each year, CRL purchases microform and published print collections nominated by member libraries. In August and September, CRL voting member libraries nominate these collections, and vote on the collections nominated to determine which items CRL acquires.
CRL now invites nominations for this year’s voting. All CRL libraries may propose collections for purchase under this program. Last year’s voting resulted in the purchase of eight new sets with a total list price value of $125,886.
CRL has now sent passwords to access the online nomination form to a contact person at each CRL institution. The deadline for FY15 Purchase Proposal nominations is September 30, 2014.
