Content solutions provider Publishing Technology plc has announced the promotion of Chief Technology Officer David Montgomery to the position of acting CEO with immediate effect, as Michael Cairns steps down from his role at the company.
Since joining Publishing Technology in November 2014, David Montgomery has been responsible for leading the company's IT strategy and implementing its product roadmap. Driving all aspects of the company's software and technology portfolio, David has been working closely with customers to define the technical architecture of its core products while bringing a new generation of innovative products to the market, such as the recently launched ingentaDrive.
Prior to joining Publishing Technology, David held a range of senior roles at several blue chip technology businesses. He was Managing Director of Software Operations at Inspired Thinking Group (ITG), a Tech Track 100 company, Chief Innovation Officer at software company Atex and Director of Technology at Anite plc (formerly known as Autofile).
