De Gruyter publishes the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine -

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and De Gruyter have announced a publishing partnership for the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine (JOM), previously known as the Journal of the American Osteopathic Association (JAOA). JOM will be published by De Gruyter as an open access publishing model from January 2021.

The JOM digital content published after 1950 will be made openly accessible and available on De Gruyter’s website degruyter.com and on JAOA.org. The migration of new and existing content will enable research published in the JOM to be more widely seen, read and cited globally.

The mission of the JOM is to serve as an international forum for the dissemination of scientific literature that incorporates an integrative, comprehensive, patient-centred approach to clinical care and improving health. For 119 years, the AOA has published the scientific journal. As the official peer-reviewed research publication of the profession, the JOM will publish original research, narrative and systematic review articles, clinical practice descriptions, and a limited number of case reports relevant to the practice and education of osteopathic medicine.

De Gruyter has been publishing open access titles for over a decade. Today, the publishing house is home to over 600 fully open access journals across STEM and HSS disciplines. Over 3,000 open access books are available on degruyter.com, making De Gruyter one of the largest independent publishers of open access books worldwide.
