Under the headline ‘10 Topics, 10 Books, 10 Weeks’, De Gruyter celebrates its 10th open access book anniversary and invites scientists and scholars globally to submit their book projects for OA publication. The 10 winning titles will be published in 2021 by De Gruyter in OA without any author publication fees to support the development of open research.
Researchers planning to publish a monograph in 2021 are encouraged to submit their proposal and draft manuscript to the publisher for review in the 10-week period from October 5, 2020 to December 21, 2020. Following a preliminary selection, an independent and interdisciplinary jury of experts will select the best titles in the second quarter of 2021. The winning titles will be published in open access – making the research free to read, use and adapt worldwide.
With this prize, De Gruyter celebrates the 10 year anniversary of its first open access book publication. In 2010, De Gruyter published the Handbuch Bibliothek 2.0, its first open access book. Since then, the publishing house has developed into one of the world's largest open access book publishers with over 3000 open access books available on degruyter.com.
Information on submitting proposals can be found at https://cloud.newsletter.degruyter.com/oa-book-anniversary.
