Dermsquared names April Armstrong as Editor-in-Chief of Dermatology Online Journal -

Dermsquared has appointed Dr. April Armstrong, as Editor-in-Chief of the Dermatology Online Journal (DOJ), succeeding Barbara Burrall. Dr. Armstrong’s appointment marks the next phase in the journal’s nearly 30-year history as a leading open-access publication in dermatology.

An internationally recognized expert in inflammatory skin diseases, Dr. Armstrong is known for her work in clinical research and evidence-based dermatologic practice. As Editor-in-Chief, she will oversee DOJ’s editorial direction and maintain its commitment to scientific rigor and accessibility.

Founded in 1995, Dermatology Online Journal was one of the first peer-reviewed open-access medical journals and remains a key platform for clinicians, researchers, and educators worldwide. It publishes more than 20 peer-reviewed articles each month and has been indexed on PubMed for over a decade.

Under Dr. Armstrong’s leadership, the journal will continue to emphasize high-quality, evidence-based research and foster international collaboration within the dermatology community.
