Design Science, Inc., US, makers of the MathFlow line of MathML editing and composition tools for XML publishing, has announced the launch of the MathFlow Partner Program for systems integrators, consultants and VARs. The programme is designed for consulting and sales organisations that have clients with mathematical content that are implementing XML publishing systems.
Technology based organisations in areas such as engineering, aerospace, pharmaceuticals, government, and publishing, all have mathematical notation in their content. MathFlow is already in use at Airbus, American Chemical Society, American Institute of Physics, Bechtel Bettis, Boeing, Houghton Mifflin, LexisNexis, MathWorks, McGraw-Hill, Northrop Grumman, Schlumberger, and by many other industry leaders.
Design Science also developed MathType and the Equation Editor built into Microsoft Office. These products are used by millions of people worldwide, and most of the mathematics in content today is created using these products. As of the programme's launch, Index IT, Oberon Technologies, Ovidius, Portalyx, TerraSoft, TerraXML, and xEdge Consultancy have signed on as authorised MathFlow partners. More partners will be announced in the coming weeks.
