STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, and the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Informationswissenschaft und Informationspraxis e.V. (DGI) will honour Young Information Professionals (YIPs) with the 'Semantic Web & Linked Data - Elements of Future Information infrastructures' Best Paper Award. The award will be presented at the first annual DGI conference, scheduled for October 7-9, 2010, in Frankfurt.
The DGI will honour contributions from next-generation information professionals with the Best Paper Award. The award, funded with a grant from Elsevier, will be presented during the 1st annual DGI-conference. First, second and third Best Paper Awards will be given, along with cash prizes. The call for papers for the Best Paper Award focuses on all Young Information Professionals - trainees, students, post-graduates, and those newly appointed in the information sector.
At the Conference, organised in cooperation with the Frankfurter Book Fair, YIPs will be offered the opportunity to present their contributions to an audience of information professionals. The selection of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize will be made by a jury of information professionals and conference attendees.
