Research technology company Digital Science has integrated over 1.4 million patents from Russia into its Dimensions platform, which provides information on scholarly research activity worldwide.
The only research insights platform to consistently link Russian patent information to publications from universities and research institutes globally, Dimensions aims to transform the way research is discovered, accessed and analysed.
In addition to patents, Dimensions is also the most complete source of funded grant information, with data for projects totalling over $1.3tn funding from more than 250 organisations worldwide, including key funders from G20 and OECD countries and beyond. It enables users to explore the connections across the research lifecycle by linking this extensive funding and patent data with their associated publications, clinical trials and scholarly metrics.
With the new integration of Russian Patent Office data, provided by patent services company IFI CLAIMS, sourcing the records directly from Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) as well as European Patent Office (EPO), users of Dimensions are able to easily explore all of the patents and further refine search results to specific years, disciplines, and legal status.
Individual publication pages within the platform will also show where publications have been referenced in Russian-issued patents, making it possible to identify the paths leading to the commercialisation of research from around the world.
