Database Publishing Consultants, Inc. (DPCI), a US-based provider of software to publish content on the web, in print and in mobile channels, has announced a partnership with Cabengo LLC. Under the deal, DPCI and Cabengo will design and deploy a new web site for New York University Medical Center's Department of Pathology. Together the agencies have worked with the Department of Pathology to deliver an intuitive website and collaborative publishing system powered by Drupal's Content Management System (CMS).
The NYU Department of Pathology is one of the largest departments within the NYU Medical Center, with physicians practicing at respective local care centres such as the Tisch Hospital, Bellevue Medical Center, the Hospital for Joint Disease and the VA Medical Center. With the new Drupal-based CMS platform in place, the Department expects to better enable over 160 faculty members to post research and scholarly works, as well as all other types of patient care information.
DPCI has customised Drupal with a range of easy-to-use publishing features and templates to make it easy to add and update new content on the site. For instance, an enhanced search capability allows visitors to find people, publications and other material on the site with ease. Additionally, DPCI has implemented a 'Wiki' collaboration tool that allows glossary content to be revised and edited by authorised faculty and staff.
