Dr. Bahman Guyuron has been appointed as the new editor-in-chief of the official journal of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) which represents 3,300 board certified (or the equivalent) plastic surgeons in 104 countries. The ISAPS editor-in-chief will assume responsibility for the journal that addresses the work of the global community and provides a forum for original articles advancing the art of aesthetic plastic surgery.
Dr. Guyuron brings with him a wealth of expertise in surgical techniques as well as a full roster of professional associations and medical board appointments. He is considered by his peers and patients as one of the best doctors in the US being listed among the Best Doctors in America from 2000 to the present.
With his breadth of knowledge and discovery in the plastic surgery field, Dr. Guyuron has published more than 200 medical articles in peer-reviewed journals, three textbooks and more than 40 book chapters on plastic surgery. He has delivered more than 1,000 lectures in more than 20 countries. He has also served as scientific reviewer and senior editor on a number of scientific journals, including: Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
Dr. Guyuron continues to contribute to medical education by working as a visiting professor for over 20 academic centers in the US and abroad and currently serves as Emeritus Professor of Plastic Surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
By specialising in craniofacial plastic surgery, Dr. Guyuron has made strides in patient aesthetics and treatment and is regularly sought after for rhinoplasty surgeries and advancements.
