Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., publishers has announced the appointment of Dr. Electron Kebebew as the fifth Editor-in-Chief of Thyroid®, the official journal of the American Thyroid Association® (ATA®). Dr. Kebebew succeeds Dr. Peter Andreas Kopp, who has provided exceptionally strong leadership for the journal over the last seven years. The latest Journal Impact Factor is 7.786.
Dr. Kebebew is the Chief of General Surgery and Harry A. Oberhelman Jr. and Mark L. Welton Professor at Stanford University. He is an internationally recognised expert in endocrine oncology and surgery.
Dr. Kebebew will work closely with Dr. Kopp through 2019, with a full transition to Editor-in-Chief in January 2020.
