Dr. Elizabeth A. Ayello and Dr. R. Gary Sibbald named Co-Editors-in-Chief of Advances in Skin & Wound Care -

Advances in Skin & Wound Care, a peer-reviewed journal from the Lippincott® portfolio, published by Wolters Kluwer, and the official journal of the American Professional Wound Care Association, has announced the appointment of current clinical editors Elizabeth A. Ayello and R. Gary Sibbald as Co-Editors-in-Chief, effective with the August 2018 issue. They succeed outgoing Editor-in-Chief Dr. Richard "Sal" Salcido, the journal's longest-tenured Editor-in-Chief, who will transition to Editor Emeritus.

Dr. Ayello is on the faculty of Excelsior College School of Nursing in Albany, New York and is President of Ayello Harris & Associates, Inc. in Copake, New York. She is also President of the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists and Past President of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel.

Dr. Sibbald is a Professor of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Toronto in Ontario, and is Director of the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course and the Master of Science in Community Health (Prevention and Wound Care) program at the Dalla Lana Faculty of Public Health at the University of Toronto. He is also Past President of the World Union of Wound Healing Societies.

Dr. Ayello and Dr. Sibbald bring decades of combined experience and a unique set of qualifications to their new shared editorial role. Both are prolific authors with deep ties to many professional wound care organisations, a shared interest in creating evidence-based content, and a dedication to mentoring developing and experienced scholars in the field.
