The editors and publisher of The Hearing Journal, one of the leading publications for the hearing industry, have announced that Dr. Fan-Gang Zeng has been named to the position of Editorial Board Chairman. The journal is published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, a part of Wolters Kluwer Health.
A noted researcher in auditory science and technology, Dr. Zeng is the director of the Center for Hearing Research, the research director of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, and a tenured professor of anatomy and neurobiology, biomedical engineering, cognitive sciences and otolaryngology at the University of California, Irvine.
Dr Zeng's recent research has focused on unraveling the brain mechanisms involved in loudness coding and speech recognition. He is also involved in translating research into the commercial marketplace, including new cochlear implant and tinnitus-suppressor technologies. Dr Zeng has been an active member of various editorial boards and professional societies in the areas of audiology, otolaryngology, and biomedical engineering.
With a readership of more than 22,000 hearing healthcare professionals, each monthly issue of The Hearing Journal covers the latest news and trends in audiology practice, new hearing-related scientific and clinical research, and the latest developments in the hearing aid industry.
