Dr. Helga Guderley named new Co-Editor of the Canadian Journal of Zoology -

NRC Research Press, the publishing arm of the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), has announced the appointment of Dr. Helga Guderley as the new Co-Editor of the Canadian Journal of Zoology (CJZ). Dr. Guderley joins Brock Fenton in leading the journal.

Dr. Guderley has been an Associate Editor of CJZ for many years, and has had many papers published in this journal, along with other NRC Research Press journals. She succeeds Dr. Saber Saleuddin, who will be stepping down after many years of leading the journal and serving the zoology research community.

Dr. Guderley has published more than 170 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters and has supervised more than 40 graduate students. She was President of the Canadian Society of Zoologists and now serves that society as secretary. Her research has focused on muscle metabolic capacities and swimming performance in ectotherms, particularly cod, trout, and scallops, and on biochemical adaptation to temperature and to changes in abiotic and biotic factors.
