Dr. Jonathan Drezner appointed as new Editor-in-Chief for British Journal of Sports Medicine -

Dr. Jonathan Drezner, specialising in sports medicine, has been appointed as the new Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Sports Medicine, effective January 2021. The British Journal of Sports Medicine claims to be one of more than 70 specialist journals published by BMJ.

Dr. Drezner will take up his post, succeeding Professor Karim Khan, Scientific Director of the CIHR Institute of Musculoskeletal Health & Arthritis (IMHA), who has been Editor-in-Chief since 2008.

Dr. Drezner is currently a Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, and the Director of the Centre for Sports Cardiology at the University of Washington in Seattle, USA. He is the Head Medical Team Physician for the american football NFL team, Seattle Seahawks, as well as the Head Team Physician for US women’s soccer team, OL Reign. Dr. Drezner has been a Deputy Editor of the British Journal of Sports Medicine since 2016.
