Dr. Joseph K. Lim appointed Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Liver Disease -

Dr. Joseph K. Lim, professor of medicine; vice chief of hepatology, Section of Digestive Diseases; and director of clinical hepatology, has been selected as the next editor-in-chief of Clinical Liver Disease (CLD), an open-access multimedia journal of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). He will begin his appointment in January 2024.

In his new role, Lim hopes to advance the AASLD’s educational and research missions through CLD, which provides education regarding the prevention, diagnosis, investigation, and management of liver disease to a diverse spectrum of readers, including trainees, clinicians, scientists, policymakers, patients, and caregivers.

Lim is a member of the Yale Liver Center. He conducts patient-oriented research evaluating clinical outcomes in chronic liver disease and runs an active clinical trials program examining novel investigational agents for viral hepatitis and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
