Dr. Karri Holley named Editor of International Journal for Researcher Development -

Academic publisher Emerald Group Publishing has announced the appointment of Dr. Karri Holley, University of Alabama (USA), as the new Editor of the International Journal for Researcher Development.

Dr. Holley has held several leadership roles in national associations, including chair of the AERA Doctoral Education across the Disciplines SIG and is formerly a member of the program committees for both ASHE and AERA. At the University of Alabama, she is a faculty mentor for the Tide Together Graduate School Mentoring Program, a member of the University Research Grants Committee, and an advisory board member for several organisations, including those for women in STEM, graduate students with children, and graduate students enrolled in the interdisciplinary PhD program.

One of Dr. Holley's primary interests in assuming the role is the opportunity to establish the journal as the leading scholarly journal for the study of graduate education. As the community of scholars who work in this area have grown, the need for a common journal that unites the community has become even more essential. The International Journal for Researcher Development claims to be well placed to fill this role.

The International Journal for Researcher Development is a double-blind peer reviewed journal that provides a forum for the dissemination of original empirical research, conceptual analyses, policy analyses, and theoretical perspectives relating to graduate education and researcher development.
