The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) has announced that Dr Richard Pike has tendered his resignation as Chief Executive of the RSC, effective from February 28, 2011.
As CEO, Dr Pike attained great success in reforming the management of the Society. He played a key role in enhancing RSC's international position.
The RSC is one of the largest organisations in Europe for advancing the chemical sciences. Supported by a worldwide network of members and an international publishing business, the Society's activities span education, conferences, science policy and the promotion of chemistry to the public.
