Elsevier, the information analytics business specialising in science and health, has announced that Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) has achieved HIMSS EMRAM (EMR Adoption Model) Stage 6 following integration of Elsevier's Order Sets and Care Planning solutions.
HMG, a private hospital group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, implemented Elsevier's clinical decision support (CDS) solutions in the Sehat Al Suwaidi Hospital site in July 2017. Achieving HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 certification is an important milestone for identifying the level of EMR and EHR capabilities globally. HMG aspires to achieve HIMSS Stage 7, the highest accreditation by HIMSS EMRAM, in 2018.
Elsevier's CDS solutions focus on driving operational efficiencies through improving communication and increasing access to evidence-based guidelines.
Elsevier and HMG will now continue to ensure high quality use and that outcomes are measured with ongoing rollout across eight more hospital sites in the region by end of 2017.
