STM publisher EDP Sciences has announced the appointment of Dr. Thierry Maré to the Web of Conferences editorial board where he will support E3S Web of Conferences and the areas of Environment, Energy, Earth Sciences and related subjects.
Dr. Maré is currently the scientific attaché at the French embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia. He is also affiliated with the University of Rennes 1 where he has taken on numerous administrative responsibilities such as Head of Department and Head of International Relations. Furthermore, Dr. Maré is a senior lecturer at IUT Saint Malo/University of Rennes 1 and a full researcher at LGCGM-INSA (Civil and Mechanical Engineering Laboratory) where his research focuses on energy efficiency. He is developing a number of research projects including energy storage by MCP, desalination by membrane distillation, solar energy and more.
Dr. Maré obtained his doctorate at the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA) in Rennes in 1990 and is one of the pioneers in the field of nanofluids. He is a member of numerous scientific committees, and President and founder of the international conferences CIFEM (Colloque International Francophone d' Énergétique et Mécanique) and TR2I. Despite a busy schedule, he is also involved in several international programmes and international scientific collaborations.
