The European Association of Science Editors (EASE) recently published simple editorial guidelines for authors and translators of scientific articles. These guidelines are aimed to make international scientific communication more efficient.
The guidelines are a result of long discussions on the EASE Forum and during the Association's 2009 conference in Pisa, followed by consultations within the Council. EASE plans to add more appendices on specific subjects and also review all the recommendations annually in the future.
Translation of these guidelines into Spanish, French, Italian, Chinese, Estonian and Polish are in progress. The Association is also inviting volunteers to translate the guidelines into other languages.
