Library resources provider EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has announced that eBook metadata from Maruzen Company Ltd., a provider of books, journals and electronic content for universities and libraries in Japan, will be searchable via its robust and comprehensive discovery service, EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS). The agreement between EBSCO and Maruzen will allow metadata from Maruzen's eBook Library to be added to EDS.
The Maruzen metadata offers a range of eBook content encompassing everything from the humanities and social sciences to science, engineering and medicine and will be a valuable resource for EDS users looking for the latest content on Japanese-language materials. By accessing the content via EBSCO Discovery Service's intuitive and easy-to-use discovery layer platform, users will be able to greatly expand their searches as well as maximise their library collection.
Maruzen Company Ltd. is part of a growing list of publishers and other content partners that are taking part in EDS to bring more visibility to their content.
